March Kit - recap

So I made 9 pages with my March Cocoa Daisy Kit!  Here is what is left over:

Looking forward to April.  In the meantime, about that January kit that I haven't touched . . . .

March Cocoa Daisy Kit Continued . . .

So here are the next three layouts that I've made from the March Cocoa Daisy Kit - that makes 6 total so far.  I think I have three more on the way - a 2 page spread and another 1 pager.  We shall see what I have time to do.

These photos have been hanging around for ages and I am thrilled to have them scrapped and the story told.  Only wish I had a photo of the doorbell from Grandmother and Granddaddy's house, but these pics are priceless and can totally stand on their own.  So thankful my mom was a camera fan.

Another "older" picture - this one from when Elsie and Wyatt was younger.  It is just one picture from a random walk one Sunday afternoon, but I love that they are holding hands - it feels symbolic to me and for some reason it felt like the right picture to write this note to them.

Was glad to pull away from the green for a little here at the end.  I love blues and greens, but I'm a sucker for reds, oranges, pinks and warmer stuff.  And yes, I used that tiny scrap of gold vellum from last month's kit I had saved.

This page is basically every last scrap of patterned paper that I could find all piled up to frame this great shot from my recent trip.  I also finished up the Jenni Bowlin triangles, used a sheet of the Studio Calico acetate, the other light bulb and the letterpress card.  I sometimes have a hard time using up the embellishments that are out of my normal style but I am working hard to push myself to try new things!

And finally, 2-pager about my trip to San Antonio to finish up the final pieces that were left over from the E &W page. I basically used the leftovers and taped them down with washi and filled in the spaces. It came together quickly and I like the results.  I did have to use two pieces of cardstock from my stash to make this layout happen - so I cheated a little on the kit, but not much.

The left side

The right side included lots of journaling, but it tells the story!

Look who's featured on the Cocoa Daisy Blog today!!!

Holy smokes - that's ME on the Cocoa Daisy Blog today.  Took a quick photo on my phone cause I was so excited. I have always loved being a part of this amazing community.

Friday is kit reveal day - getting excited . . .

March Cocoa Daisy Kit - Progress so far

Here is the March Cocoa Daisy Kit "Grey Street"

March 2014 kit "Grey Street"

I was a little intimidated with all of that green to start, but it has been really fun to work with.  Here are a few to start:

These are some older photos that I have had sitting around FOREVER in the to be scrapped pile - well, I am getting them on a page!  I left a spot to journal, but need to chat with my mom for the details.  I miss my grandparents so . . .

This page is about my mother and father, just after they got married.  They always loved camping and here they are, married just seven months with a dog and a trailer (with a bathroom!).  Again, an empty journaling spot for my mom to write something about this trip.

More pictures from the to be scrapped pile.  This from when my oldest was about a year old.  Love these photos from the church nursery with her buddy Carl.  Crazy to see how much they've grown.

I still have lots more left of the kit, but I had to go to San Antonio for a conference, so I am behind on playing with my kit.  I have Girl Scouts tonight, but maybe this weekend there will be more time to play!

February Cocoa Daisy Kit - Layouts

I simply fell in love with the February Cocoa Daisy Kit.  All of that pink, turquoise and yellow won me over. Here is a look at the supplies.

February 2014 kit "Color Swatch"

Here are the seven (yes, seven pages!) I made with the kit.

Already started on March.  Loving all of that green!!!

Bonus - here is all I had left of the kit! Not bad - I'd say I killed it.
