Scrapbooking

I am a scrapbooker who wishes she was better, but has settled into a good place, knowing that I am recording things for my family.  The kids adore looking at their books and scrapping/creating makes me ridiculously happy.  I even have a space in the house to hang my papercutter (and much more) and for that I am forever grateful.  I try to at least walk in there daily, but some days that's all I have the energy to do.  Other days I am in there late working on projects, making cards for friends and family and just playing in my supplies. I am a story teller and a keeper of memories.

For about seven years, I worked on the complete family history.  I call these my vintage books - I have scrapped photos from the late 1800's to the 60's and 70's - basically before me!  My mom and I worked on these books together which has been great fun.  I did the design and she wrote the stories.  It was an overwhelming project that started with 37 boxes of photos ranging from large Rubbermaid boxes to small shoe boxes and is now a neat library of five Creative Memories power sort boxes (wish they still made those!) sorted by decade.

I have subscribed to various kit clubs over the years, but am taking a break from that for a while to use up some supplies.
